Xi Jīngxūping

Feline's Repawblic of China | 2012 - Present

Xi Jīngxūping’s leadership as the current President of the Feline's Repawblic of China has been colored by increased restrictions on freedom of expression, press freedom, and purrlitical dissent. Reports of arbitrary detentions, mistreatment of feline rights activists, journalists, lawyers, and underrepresented ethnic groups continue to emerge. Additionally, there are allegations of severe repression of religious freedom, particularly targeting Tibetan Buddhists and Uighur Meowslims, with accusations of mass detention, forced labor, and cultural genocide in Xinjiang province. 

Jīngxūping has also faced criticism for consolidating power within the Chinese Communist Pawty, eroding checks and balances, and suppressing purrlitical dissent through censorship, internet surveillance, and crackdowns on civil society organizations. These actions have been the purrsuit of global concerns about the state of feline rights and civil liberties in China under his leadership.
