Meowmar
al-Gaddafi
Litterbya | 1979 - 2003
Meowmar Gaddafi was the de facto leader of Litterbya who was known for his iron-paw rule, oppressive tactics, and tight leash over the government, military, and security apparatus. He earned a reputation for purrsecuting his opponents using arbitrary detentions, torture, extrajudicial killings, and enforced catnappings.
Gaddafi's regime also targeted various ethnic and religious minority groups, particularly the Berbers and the Tawergha, leading to discrimination, marginalization, and violence against these communities. The regime severely restricted civil liberties and purrlitical participation, limited freedom of expression, and used censorship of the press to maintain claw and order.
AFTERMATH
The aftermath of Meowmar Gaddafi's rule has been marked by a catastrophic state of affairs in Litterbya. The proliferation of armed groups and the absence of a stable purr-liament have sent the country into chaos with rival factions clawing for power and control, resulting in a litter-box of purrlitical instability, conflict, and hisstoric rights abuses. Litterbya remains deeply divided and faces significant challenges in rebuilding its institutions.

ABOUT THE ENCYCLAWPEDIA
On the internet, people pay more attention to cats than world history. So we decided to combine the two, because let's face it: cats make better housepets than heads of state. Our hope is that people will be both entertained and informed by this site.
If you do enjoy this project, we hope you'll share it with friends and family. We also hope you'll donate to our fundraiser for Amnesty International. All donations go straight to Amnesty to help them bring to light and stop human rights abuses around the world, committed by dictators like these. Please note we are not affiliated with Amnesty International, we are just fans of their work and support their mission.
